Offshore-Valve

Key steps by steps
  1. Preparation:
    • Conduct a thorough Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to identify and mitigate risks.
    • Remove pressure from the pipeline and isolate the section where the valve needs replacement.
    • Use tags on all isolation valves in the boundary to prevent accidental reopening.
    • Perform nitrogen purging to ensure the system is inert, especially for gas lines.
  2. Isolation:
    • Use the existing system isolation valves or a specialized isolation tool like the AOGV or a Tecno Plug to create a safe, verified, double block and bleed isolation.
    • Test the isolation to ensure it is leak-tight before proceeding with valve removal.
  3. Valve removal:
    • Safely remove the old valve, which may involve opening flanges and disconnecting the unit from the pipeline.
  4. Installation and testing:
    • Install the new valve, ensuring it is correctly oriented and connected.
    • Perform leak tests on the new valve and associated connections before returning the system to service.
    • Follow all applicable safety and operational standards throughout the process.
